Bournemouth Area | JHG Jigsaw Factory Tour

Come and have some fun at the JHG Jigsaw Factory

CSSC are delighted to offer a fantastic opportunity to have a guided tour of this fascinating small artisan business.  Started in 1997, JHG Jigsaws Ltd, (owned and run by Brian and Julie) is one of only a handful of traditional cardboard jigsaw puzzle manufacturers left in the UK.  With CSSC subsidising the £12 cost to only £5 for members, (non members £12) this is a not to be missed afternoon out.  For this we get an aprox 2 hour personal talking and walking tour through the process, provided by the ever enthusiastic and witty owner Julie, who will not only show and demonstrate each section but also reveal how she ended up making jigsaw puzzles after a previously secure banking job.  The tour ends with delicious home made cakes and refreshments.

Wed 26 Oct is half term week, so an ideal children’s activity, but note that there is a minimum age of 8 years for this event.

What's included:
Where:

JHG Jigsaws is located in a converted cow barn.  Unit 3 South Farm yard/Noade Street, Salisbury SP5 5AA.  There is parking on site.  (no stray cows, I promise!)  It is signposted from the road but is easy to miss!  If you are unfamiliar with Ashmore, it is the highest village in Dorset, located just 6 miles SW of Shaftesbury, and is often featured on calendars showing the picture postcard village pond in the centre of the village.  If you arrive in the village and pass the village pond on the right, JHG jigsaws is another few hundred metres along the road on the left.  If the pond is on your left you have gone too far and need to turn around.
