Dear CSSC South West Volunteer
This year the CSSC South West Region will be holding its Annual Volunteer Conference on the 13th & 14th October 2022 at Corner House Hotel, Park St, Taunton TA1 4DQ.
We are bringing together the CSSC volunteer community of the South West to share good practice, exchange ideas, receive updates from CSSC's Executive Team, whilst supporting each other, recognising achievements and having some fun! There will be some light-hearted entertainment after dinner and the dress code is casual. The Regional Conference is an excellent networking opportunity and a chance for new volunteers to gain a greater understanding of CSSC on a National and Regional basis.
Agenda
The Regional Team are working with Head Office on items for the agenda, but we recognise that this is your conference, and we would like to include as much practical and useful content as possible. Please specify your agenda requests during the registration process.
Please note as the final agenda often changes, it will not be issued prior to the conference.
Volunteer of the Year Nominations
Recognising the contribution of the wonderful volunteers around the South West Region is very important to us. Upon registration for this event you will be asked to nominate someone for the Volunteer of the Year Award, please help us to share the success and achievements of Volunteers in the South West by telling us about the person that you think deserves formal recognition.
Timings
The main conference will run from 12:50 on Thursday and conclude around 1pm Friday. A buffet lunch and dinner will be provided on the Thursday (from noon), breakfast and a buffet lunch will be provided on the Friday (lunch from 1pm).
Extending Your Stay & Guests
You can bring a guest/partner (at your own expense). For each additional guest there will be a charge of £150, as they will not be attending the Conference daytime sessions. Please note you must be willing to share a room with the guest and you can request a double or twin room. Should you have any additional questions about the accommodation arrangements, please contact me.
A final invitation pack will be issued approximately 3 weeks prior to the Conference. You will also be contacted separately about menu choices for the conference, swift replies to this request will be appreciated.
Huge progress has been made over the last few years within the South West Region, but there is still much to do! We need your input at conference to help us continue moving forward, I look forward to hearing from you soon.
